Bring The Birdie on My Shoulder to Your Kindy or Prep Classroom

I offer The Birdie on My Shoulder as an interactive Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) incursion for kindergarten and preschool classes.

Aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework, this program combines author-led storytelling with guided activities to support children's understanding of loss, emotional literacy, empathy, and resilience.

Together, the book and SEL program introduce grief and loss in a gentle, age-appropriate, and comforting way, providing children with practical tools to help them navigate grief and loss.

I created this program using the knowledge and understanding I gained through my Bachelor of Counselling degree to support children's social and emotional learning. This educational resource is not intended to replace professional counselling or therapeutic support.
